The Neuquén basin is largely located in the Neuquén province of Argentina, with parts reaching into the La Pampa, Rio Negro and Mendoza provinces.

Phoenix Global Resources owns approximately 650 thousand net acres of concessions in the Neuquén Basin and have been actively working in the area since February 2006.

The Neuquén basin assets account for over 66% of Phoenix’s total oil production and contains some of its highest margin and most exciting opportunities, including the company’s large Vaca Muerta unconventional portfolio, including 90% operated working interest in Mata Mora North, Mata Mora South, Corralera blocks (North East, North West & South), La Tropilla I, Santo Domingo I and Aguada de Castro West I & II).

In Mendoza Province, Phoenix holds 100% operated working interests in the Puesto Rojas – Cerro Mollar, Cerro Mollar Oeste, Cerro Mollar Norte, La Brea, El Manzano (conventional), La Paloma, Cerro del Alquitran.
